Refurbished iPhone Deals

When it comes to buying a new iPhone, the options can seem endless. You can buy directly from Apple.com, a carrier, or a third-party seller like Phonedaddy.com. While each option has its pros and cons, Phonedaddy.com offers some unbeatable deals on used iPhones that make it a smart decision to buy from them.

Phonedaddy.com is a website dedicated to selling used smartphones and accessories. They offer a wide selection of iPhones, including the latest models like the iPhone 14, as well as older models like the iPhone 11. What sets Phonedaddy.com apart from other sellers is their competitive pricing.

Let’s take a look at some of the current deals on Phonedaddy.com for different iPhone models:

As you can see, these prices are significantly lower than what you would pay if you bought the same phone brand new from Apple.com. For example, a brand new iPhone 14 starts at $999 on Apple.com, while Phonedaddy.com has it starting at the same price for a used one. This means you can get the latest iPhone for a more affordable price.

But you may be wondering if it’s worth it to buy a used iPhone instead of a new one. The answer depends on your priorities. If having the latest and greatest technology is important to you, then buying a new iPhone may be the way to go. However, if saving money is a top priority, then buying a used iPhone from a reputable seller like Phonedaddy.com can be a smart decision.

Phonedaddy.com ensures that all of their used iPhones are in good condition and have been thoroughly inspected before being put up for sale. They also offer a 30-day money-back guarantee and a 90-day warranty on all of their products, so you can feel confident in your purchase.

In addition to the cost savings, buying a used iPhone also has environmental benefits. By buying a used phone, you are giving it a second life instead of contributing to the demand for new devices. This can help reduce the amount of electronic waste generated each year.

Overall, buying a used iPhone from Phonedaddy.com can be a smart decision for those looking to save money and reduce their environmental impact. With their competitive pricing, thorough inspections, and warranty, you can feel confident in your purchase. So why not check out Phonedaddy.com’s selection of used iPhones and see how much you can save?

US iPhone 14 VS. EU iPhone 14

Users are perplexed when a phone manufacturer sells different phones under the same name as if they’re the same phones. Of course, there should be no differences between an iPhone 14 purchased in North America and the same phone purchased in Europe, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere.

However, just because this flagship phone has the same name, design, and packaging doesn’t mean they are the same. “One phone for everyone” is no longer the case, and the company to which you can point a finger is the largest and most influential – Apple.

The iPhone 14 isn’t powered by a different chip, but there are now enough differences between iPhones sold in North America and those sold elsewhere worldwide to raise a legitimate question.

US iPhone 14 vs. EU iPhone 14: Price and Features

Here are the key differences between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models sold in North America and the rest of the world.

Features of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models sold in the US include:

  • When you don’t have 4G/5G coverage, you can use satellite connectivity to send emergency messages – a potentially life-saving feature.
  • Virtual identification and a virtual driver’s license (available in certain US states such as Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Mississippi, Ohio, and the territory of Puerto Rico and expanding)
  • Apple Maps’ three-dimensional city view is now available in selected areas of the United States and Canada (gradually expanding)

Speaking of differences between iPhones sold worldwide, you may be aware that the US iPhone 14s no longer includes a SIM card tray. This means that US buyers must be prepared to use an electronic SIM (eSIM) through their carrier.

This is not the case for people outside the United States, who now have something to brag about. So, Apple’s regional division doesn’t work out well for US buyers, who serve as a pilot study for Apple’s early adoption-type features/or lack thereof.

The following iPhone 14 features are not available to US iPhone 14 buyers:

  • The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro sold outside the United States include a SIM card tray and support for eSIM, giving international buyers much more flexibility when using foreign SIM cards while travelling the world (eSIM isn’t supported everywhere).
  • In some countries where it is required by law, the iPhone 14 will come with a charger – Apple was recently fined $2.34 million in Brazil for selling iPhones without a charger.

Compared to the US, the price of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro is significantly higher in the UK, Europe, and other countries.

This claim may seem a little off from the story’s overall tone of “the same phone with different features,” but it’s more significant than all the things mentioned above. This is so because consumers’ perceptions of the value of a product, including the iPhone, are greatly influenced by its price. You desire the best/more value for your money. Ideally, everyone would be treated the same.

It’s not surprising that prices have increased given the ongoing global chip shortage, the financial crisis, inflation, wars, trade wars, and other factors. You see it daily, from phones to laptops to coffee and lunch.

But what is surprising is how cheaper iPhones are now in some regions of the world than in other regions.

  • The cheapest iPhone 14 in the UK has increased by 15% on average to £850. Price increases from £950 and £1,050 to a staggering £1,100 and £1,200 for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
  • Prices for iPhones have skyrocketed in some European nations, such as Poland. The iPhone 14 is now 24% more expensive than the iPhone 13, the iPhone 14 Pro is 25% more expensive, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max has seen a 26% price increase. Poland’s economy is less advanced than others in central and western Europe.
  • While people in France and Italy must pay nearly €1,500 for the same phone that costs “only” $1,100 in the US, the price increase in Germany is comparable to that in the UK, costing you €200 more for a Pro Max iPhone compared to 2021.

That insane price premium for the product is outrageous. It is much less expensive for people in the EU to pick one up from the US than it is to purchase one there. Anyone from the EU traveling to the US and wanting to purchase one of the new iPhone 14 devices should do so while in the US.

US iPhone 14 vs. EU iPhone 14: Network Compatibility, Power Adapter, and Warranty

The iPhone 14 Pro models sold in the US and Europe might be compatible with frequencies and bands because different nations and regions use cellular network technologies.

Moreover, the voltage and frequency of electricity can differ between nations, so the iPhone 14 Pro models sold in the US and Europe may come with different power adapters.

The warranty conditions for the iPhone 14 Pro models in Europe and the United States might also be different.

Final thoughts

Keep in mind that these are merely a few potential variations and might not apply to all models of the iPhone 14. Before making a purchase, reviewing the model’s specific information, specifications, and price before making a purchase is always a good idea.

What Is The Best Screen Protector For An iPhone 14 Pro Max?

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the priciest device in Apple’s 2022 smartphone lineup. The phone’s large 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display has a Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, making it ideal for those who find the smaller Pro model’s 6.1-inch display too small. The display is shielded by Apple’s Ceramic Shield layer, which is said to be four times stronger than older iPhones and more durable than other smartphone glass. Even the best glass and materials cannot guarantee that your phone’s display will not be cracked or shattered if it collides with concrete.

Why take a chance on a phone that can cost up to $1,000? Purchase a reasonably priced screen protector for your iPhone 14 Pro Max to keep that stunning display free of scratches, cracks, and greasy fingerprints.

After sorting through so many options, we have limited our recommendations to the screen protectors listed below.

  1. amFilm Tempered Glass Screen Protector

This tempered glass screen protector from amFlim provides excellent protection against drops and scratches. With the auto-alignment installation kit that is included, it is simple to apply and only 0.33 mm thick.

  1. Torras Diamond Shield Tempered Glass Screen Protector

This tempered glass protector provides superior defense against knocks, falls, and scratches because it uses the same dual-ion exchange technology as the Ceramix Shield on the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It has an edge-to-edge design and doesn’t hinder using the front camera or Face ID.

  1. Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector

The Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro Max was considered when designing Spigen’s tempered glass, which provides excellent protection without compromising clarity or brightness. The auto-alignment installation kit also guarantees a seamless, bubble-free application.

  1. SuperShieldz PET Screen Protector

This screen protector is made of PET and has precise cutouts for the Face ID notch and front camera. This screen protector will protect your display from fingerprints, scrapes, and scratches while providing maximum transparency and touch sensitivity, though it is not as robust as tempered glass.

  1. Ferilinso Screen Protector

Three tempered glass screen protectors are included in this pack. Two camera lens protectors are included in the box, and the glass is certified for drops from a height of ten feet.

  1. Ailun Glass Screen Protector

This pack from Ailun includes three tempered glass screen protectors. They have an oleophobic and hydrophobic screen coating that makes them 0.33 mm thin and prevents sweat and oil residue from sticking to the screen. The glass boasts a 9H level hardness and is compatible with Dynamic Island.

  1. Tech Armor Clear Film Screen Protector

Another PET-based film protector that will shield your iPhone 14 Pro Max from dings, scrapes, and smudges without sacrificing the display’s quality or touch sensitivity is this one. It has a large speaker cutout at the top and is compatible with Dynamic Island. Four PET-based screen protectors are included in the pack.

  1. OtterBox Amplify Glass Glare Guard Screen Protector

The OtterBox Amplify Glass Glare Guard was explicitly created for the iPhone. It will protect your iPhone from scrapes, falls, and scratches. It is an anti-glare screen protector that provides excellent readability in all lighting conditions and exceptionally bright light. It enables the user to reduce brightness while maintaining crisp visual clarity.

  1. Belkin UltraGlass Screen Protector

The Belkin UltraGlass Screen Protector protects your screen twice as well as tempered glass protectors. A double ion exchange process chemically strengthens UltraGlass for maximum protection. This screen protector has enhanced strength, flexibility, and scratch resistance. It has clear display visibility.

  1. Speck Shieldview Glass Screen Protector

The Speck Shieldview Glass Screen Protector is a high-quality, tempered glass screen protector that blocks blue light. It has a scratch-resistant coating, is ultra-thin, and is highly touch-sensitive. It’s fingerprint and dirt resistant, and the antimicrobial surface inhibits bacterial growth by 99%, resulting in a much cleaner, germ-free surface.

  1. BodyGuardz Pure Glass Screen Protector

BodyGuardz Pure Glass Screen Protector protects your iPhone from damage. It employs tempered glass designed to withstand impact so that your iPhone 14 Pro Max does not have to. It includes a simple installation tool designed for home use. This screen protector is three times stronger than your screen and provides excellent visibility.

  1. Insignia Anti-Reflective Glass Screen Protector

The Insignia Anti-Reflective Screen Protector was designed specifically for your iPhone 14 Pro Max, with a camera, speaker, and light sensor cutouts. It provides extreme clarity in bright outdoor light by utilizing anti-reflective technology and a transparency rate of 94%. It comes in a pack of two and offers three times the shatter protection as the screen on your 14 Pro Max alone.

  1. NatuBeau Tempered Glass Screen Protector

NatuBeau’s three-pack of tempered glass screen protectors is made of high-quality glass to protect your iPhone 14 Pro Max from scratches, drops, and other impacts. It’s only.33mm thick to preserve original display clarity while maintaining touchscreen responsiveness. This is an excellent deal because you get three glass protectors for less than $10.

Final Thoughts

These are the best iPhone 14 Pro Max screen protectors available right now on the market. Investing in a screen protector and a protective case will help keep your expensive investment clean and damage-free for years to come.

Tempered glass is recommended over other types of screen protectors for maximum protection. It is slightly more expensive than PET-based protective films and TPU protectors but provides significantly better drop protection. Spigen’s is recommended for its ease of use and overall utility in keeping your iPhone display pristine. However, you can choose any from the list above as these are the collection of the top iPhone 14 Pro Max screen protectors.

Can I Use an Old iPhone Charger for an iPhone 14?

“Will I be able to charge my iPhone 14 model with my old iPhone charger?” is a question that will be on everyone’s mind following Apple’s September event and release of the iPhone 14 series. You should read this article because it will explain the information you need to know concerning that question.

These accessories are expensive, so why would you want to throw away a charger that was previously in use and get a new one when you know it will work with your recently acquired device?

You should read this article if you want to keep your outdated technology. The question of whether the iPhone 14 series can be charged using the older chargers is still open.

The answer to the previous question, along with information on what you need to know about charging the iPhone 14 with your old charger, are all covered in this article, which also addresses the specific problem of using old iPhone chargers for new iPhones.

The charger is not included in the new iPhone box.

Unfortunately, Apple did not include chargers in iPhone 14 boxes, even though the launch was fantastic. When the iPhone 14 series was first introduced, they didn’t mention the charger. The pattern set by Apple’s iPhone 12 series is repeated. You may also remember that the iPhone 13 series did not include a charger.

Apple claimed that it didn’t include a charger to lessen its packaging waste and the size of the box to lower its carbon emissions.

If you have an old charger that is still in excellent condition, you should keep it. If not, you will need to order a new charger separately.

If you keep up with the times, you’ll notice that Apple recently released new iPhones without a power adapter. The good news is that they are MagSafe compatible, making it possible to charge your iPhone quickly using Apple’s magnetic wireless MagSafe charging. There is no power adapter included with the iPhone 14 lineup; only a USB-C-Lightning cable is provided.

As a result, in response to a question that has come up frequently since the release of the iPhone 14 series, you can charge your iPhone 14 model with your old charger as long as you already own an old iPhone or iPad with a lightning cable. Plug your lightning cable into your iPhone 14 and plug in your power adapter to the wall outlet to start charging your device.

Here is what you need to know.

The MagSafe charger is quickly becoming a household name for most iPhone users, but MacBook users are already familiar with it.

Apple refers to the connector on its computer charging cable by this name. To stop the MacBook from falling, the MagSafe has a magnetic tip that snaps to the magnetized portion of the MacBook charging ports and snaps out with any disturbance.

But in its most recent iPhone models, Apple uses a similar technology in the form of what appears to be a magnetized “hockey puck” disc that resembles a sizable Apple Watch charger and snaps to the back of the phone. A USB-C cord plugged into a power source and provided 15W of charging is attached to the MagSafe connector.

The following three charger suggestions are offered for the iPhone 14 series:

  1. 20W USB-C mini-PD charger

The mini-PD charger is exceptionally excellent because it is twice as fast as a standard charger and 20% smaller than the iPhone PD charger.

It is safe, and FCC, CE, and RoHS certified. To keep your device from falling out, its prongs are locked.

It is corrosion-resistant, flame-retardant, and can withstand about 5000 plug-ins. Its smart charging feature automatically determines and provides your device with the best charge.

  1. HaloLock™ 3-in-1 Wireless Charger with CryoBoost™

The HaloLockTM 3-in-1 Wireless Charger with CryoBoostTM is a powerful wireless charger with a stand that can simultaneously charge your Apple Watch and your iPhone 14. It is a wireless charging stand in the MagSafe fashion that facilitates quicker and easier charging. It has a phone cooling fan that helps dissipate heat and cool your device while charging, thanks to its cryo-boost fast charging technology.

With the 3-in-1 haloLock wireless charger, you can keep your area organized and wire-free of charging devices. Additionally, it has a magnetic charging pad that can recharge your AirPods, Apple Watch, and iPhone.

The stand’s view can be adjusted, and the setup is incredibly simple. Although expensive, it is a good choice for those with various devices.

  1. HaloLock™ Kickstand MagSafe Compatible Wireless Charger

IPhone 12, 13, and 14 models, ESR HaloLock cases, and official MagSafe cases are compatible with the HaloLockTM Kickstand MagSafe Compatible Wireless Charger.

It has an adjustable built-in kickstand that allows for any viewing angle. Because the cables are detachable, you can move the stand from one place to another.

It is portable and comes with a 5 ft USB-C cable and kickstand wireless charger for quick wireless charging.

Final Thoughts

Now you know that you shouldn’t throw away your old chargers because you can still use them to charge your iPhone 14. However, if you don’t have an old charger, you can choose from the three suggestions listed above.

If you plan to update your device but your budget can’t afford the new iPhone 14 models, you can buy the older ones, like iPhone 12 or iPhone 13, at lower prices. See our used iPhone deals

Is iPhone X Worth Buying in 2023

You may recall some of the excitement surrounding the launch of the iPhone X. Apple skipped the iPhone 9 entirely and went straight from the iPhone 8 to the iPhone X because it represented such a significant advancement.

Despite being a few years old, the iPhone X is still a great device, especially if you’re on a tight budget but want an iPhone that still looks and feels contemporary.

When it first came out in 2017, the iPhone X was the phone to buy, and there are still plenty of good reasons to get one today. This article walks you through several reasons why it is worth buying the iPhone X in 2023.

  1. It is very cheap

The iPhone X made news when it was introduced in 2017 for being the company’s first $1,000 flagship device. These days, $1,000 phones are standard, and some models, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, even come close to $2,000. The sticker shock, however, was genuine when the iPhone X was introduced.

However, the iPhone X is now considerably more affordable. You won’t find the iPhone X new from any carriers anymore since Apple stopped selling it in 2018. You can find one on the used market for $250 or even less. Purchasing an iPhone X now means saving a bundle on a device that was once prohibitively expensive.

  1. It can run iOS 16

People appreciate Apple for its commitment to long-term support of older iPhone models. Additionally, the iPhone X can still run iOS 16 despite its advanced age. The iPhone X may only be supported for one or two more iOS versions, though, as it was released several years ago.

Even though iOS 16 has many excellent hidden features, the iPhone X won’t operate as quickly as the newest iPhones. When it first debuted, the iPhone X’s A11 Bionic processor was a beast, but it is no longer as potent as it once was.

If you have too many open apps or are playing a graphically demanding game like Genshin Impact or Apex Legends Mobile, you might notice a slowdown in the performance of your phone.

  1. The iPhone X’s Design is still contemporary in 2023

The iPhone still manages to look and feel contemporary, despite Apple’s design evolution since the release of the iPhone X. The iPhone X was the first thoroughly screened iPhone, the first iPhone without a Home button, and it was the first iPhone to feature the now-famous iPhone notch.

Since the iPhone X’s launch, Apple has made some design modifications. The iPhone’s screen size increased slightly with the introduction of the iPhone 12, from 5.8 inches to 6.1 inches, and the phone’s edges changed from being rounded to the flat, squared-off design we see today. With the iPhone 13, the device became heavier and thicker, and we finally got a little smaller notch.

Many people are still determining whether Dynamic Island is worth the additional cost, even though the iPhone 14 Pro evolved the notch into it. Remember that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus still have notches. That means the iPhone X blends seamlessly with Apple’s newest models.

  1. It has a dual-lens camera.

The dual-lens setup on the iPhone X is more than sufficient for most mobile photographers, even though it is no longer the king of cameras. The 12MP camera on the iPhone X has a dedicated telephoto lens. You can zoom into your photos with that additional lens without compromising the quality of the picture.

Videography on the iPhone X is also excellent; you can even record 4K video at 60 frames per second. Of course, Apple has upgraded its iPhone camera technology since the release of the iPhone X.

Newer iPhones have optical image stabilization, macro lenses, and much larger sensors that can capture more light. While these features are nice, you can still take excellent pictures without them. Additionally, the base iPhone 14s, like the iPhone X, only has 12MP cameras, even though the iPhone 14 Pro has an impressive 48MP camera sensor.

  1. A Fantastic Backup Phone

It’s a good idea to always have a backup on hand, even if you have the most recent iPhone. A trip can be made memorable for the wrong reasons if you lose your phone while traveling.

In addition to losing a costly item, losing your phone could also mean losing access to your bank accounts, credit cards, and itinerary information. Additionally, getting in touch with someone to ask for help becomes challenging.

Having a backup phone can be an excellent insurance policy when things don’t go as planned. Additionally, choosing an iPhone X as a backup phone will give you greater peace of mind, whether at home or abroad.

Getting a second phone can also be a great way to keep your personal and professional lives separate. Although iOS tools like Do Not Disturb and Focus can help you reclaim some of your time, a traditional work phone is still the best option. If you use a different device for work, your phone will also turn off when you do.

Final Thoughts

The iPhone X might be the best option if you’re looking for an iPhone with a cutting-edge design, outstanding features, and a competitive price. In 2023, purchasing an iPhone X will get you a device without bezels, a capable camera, and the newest iOS.

Even the most recent iPhones continue the evolution of the iPhone X’s design. The basic iPhone 14 feels strikingly similar to the iPhone X in many ways. The iPhone X was revolutionary when it first came out and can still be a fantastic phone today.

Should I Buy an iPhone XS or an iPhone XR?

Even though the iPhone XS and iPhone XR are older generation models, if you can’t afford Apple’s newest smartphones, you may have to choose between these because they are less expensive. The two are initially difficult to distinguish, but there are a few significant differences you should take into account, and we’ll list them here.

Here, we examine the reasons for the significant price disparity between the two phones and assist you in deciding which to purchase.

Price and Availability

The iPhone XS is no longer a part of the Apple smartphone lineup following the release of the iPhone 11. Previously, the 64GB model was priced at £999/$999. Check our iPhone XS deals.

However, the iPhone XR is still on sale and can now be purchased for $170. See our collection of the top iPhone XR discounts.

Design

At first glance, the only difference between the iPhone XS and iPhone XR is the XR’s vibrant colors. But upon closer inspection, they differ significantly.

The now-discontinued iPhone X has the exact dimensions as the iPhone XS. Despite having a 5.8-inch display, many people can still use this phone with just one hand because of the edge-to-edge notch design.

The iPhone XR has a 6.1-inch display and is larger despite being less expensive. It also has larger bezels. The iPhone XS is only available in silver, space gray, or gold, whereas the XR is available in six vivid colors.

In contrast to the cheaper iPhone XR, which has an aluminum rim similar to the one on the iPhone 7 or 8, the more expensive iPhone XS has a stainless-steel rim between the glass sandwich of its screen and rear.

The iPhone XR does not have the dual cameras of the iPhone XS. Instead, there is a single camera on the back—less of a bump, but still a bump. The iPhone XR is 8.3mm thick, thicker than the 7.7mm iPhone XS.

The differences in the appearance of the iPhone XS and iPhone XR are primarily in the screen size, rim material, color options, and bezel size.

Features and Specifications

The fact that the iPhone XS and XR share the same A12 Bionic processor is something Apple has highlighted extensively. This is advantageous if you want to buy a phone for less money. The iPhone XR will function flawlessly because it has the same silicon inside and can be purchased at a lower price.

Screen technology is a significant difference. When compared side by side with the iPhone XR, which has an LCD, the OLED display on the iPhones XS is more vibrant.

In comparison to LCDs, OLEDs appear less grainy when viewed closely because they can produce deeper blacks and have more pixels per inch. The display on iPhone XR has a good display, as Apple’s LCDs are great.

The iPhone XR now only has 128GB of storage due to a price drop, whereas the iPhone XS can be purchased with a massive 512GB of storage. The majority of users are satisfied with the 64GB base storage option.

Both phones lack a headphone jack, support wireless charging, and don’t include a fast charger when they are first purchased. Both phones lack Apple’s headphone jack adapter. Although both phones come with wired EarPods with Lightning connectors, you’ll need to purchase one if you want to use your standard wired headphones.

Each phone has a very different camera. The iPhone XS has superior dual 12MP sensors with optical image stabilization on both. One of the lenses is telephoto and has a 2x zoom capability and depth sensing.

But thanks to Apple’s post-processing software advancements, the iPhone XR’s single camera can take portrait mode and bokeh effect photos. You can also take pretty good photos on the XR, though the camera could be more sophisticated than on the XS.

The True Depth front-facing camera array for Face ID and Animoji is on both phones.

Due to its larger battery and more energy-efficient LCD screen, the iPhone XR has a longer battery life than the iPhone XS.

Software and Apps

Currently, iOS 12, released at the same time as the iPhone XS and XR, comes preinstalled on both iPhone XS and XR models. This was a respectable update from iOS 11, significantly improving notification interaction and bringing group FaceTime to the platform.

The addition of Memoji to Animoji enables you to create a live reactive emoji of yourself that you can send to contacts via iMessage. Due to the True Depth cameras being located on the front of these phones, only those who own an iPhone X, XS, XS Max, or XR can use it.

Additionally, iOS 12 adds battery health information to the settings so you can see how much you’re using it. Between the two phones, there are no software distinctions. You can, however, update to iOS 13 now.

Final Thoughts

If you can’t afford Apple’s newest smartphones, you may have to choose between the iPhone XS and iPhone XR because they are less expensive as they are older generation models. The two are initially hard to tell apart, but a few key distinctions were mentioned in this article. This article helped you to choose the right phone based on your preferences and tastes.

Should I Buy an iPhone 14 or iPhone 13 Pro? Is The Older Model Better?

Apple has unveiled its latest smartphone line-up, led by the iPhone 14. With the inevitable improvements, it will be interesting to see how the phone compares to last year’s flagship, the iPhone 13 Pro.

There are some surprising similarities between these two phones, separated by a year and a significant amount of money. But has Apple made any progress with its mainstream iPhone 14, or would you be better off simply finding a low-cost iPhone 13 Pro?

We’re not ready to give the iPhone 14 a final verdict, but here’s how it compares in terms of specs to last year’s Pro model.

Design

The base iPhone 14 is very similar to last year’s iPhone 13. Apple is not trying to reinvent the wheel here.

It has the same flat aluminum rim as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 families and the same flat glass front and back.

This design is particularly similar to that of the iPhone 13 Pro. The dimensions and shapes of the two phones are comparable, with the iPhone 13 Pro measuring 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.7mm and the iPhone 14 adding only 0.1mm to the thickness.

The main distinction is the use of more premium and durable stainless steel for the iPhone 13 Pro’s rim. This also makes the iPhone 13 Pro 204g heavier than the iPhone 14, which weighs 172g.

The iPhone 13 Pro has a larger camera module, with three lenses instead of the iPhone 14’s two.

Display

Both of these phones have 6.1-inch OLED displays with resolutions of 1170 x 2532. They are very similar but not identical.

The main distinction is the refresh rate, with the iPhone 14 remaining at 60Hz and the iPhone 13 Pro adopting Apple’s 120Hz “Pro Motion” standard. It’s twice as smooth, which you’ll notice when scrolling through web content and photos.

In high brightness mode, the iPhone 13 Pro also gets brighter, up to 1000 nits (HBM). In comparison, the iPhone 14 can only reach 800 nits. In limited situations, both can achieve 1200 nits of peak brightness.

Camera

We know how these two camera systems will compare because the iPhone 14 unit borrows a little from the iPhone 13 and a lot from the iPhone 13 Pro.

Apple equips the iPhone 14 with a dual-camera system instead of the iPhone 13 Pro’s triple 12-megapixel system. However, the main sensor is very similar.

They have the same pixel count and size, as evidenced by their pixel sizes of 1.9m. Both benefit from the sensor-shift stabilization system found on the iPhone 12 Pro Max, so that we can expect similar low-light performance.

Another thing the two phones have in common is that they both use the same A15 Bionic chip, which has the same image processing power.

Apple, however, has reserved its new Photonic Engine for the iPhone 14. This hardware-software hybrid system, which employs Deep Fusion earlier in the photographic process, improves low-light performance by at least 2x across both iPhone 14 cameras, suggesting that it outperforms the iPhone 13 Pro in low-light conditions.

The older but more premium iPhone 13 Pro has a dedicated 3x telephoto camera, allowing it to capture more detailed zoomed shots than the iPhone 14, which relies on cropping in.

However, there is one area where the iPhone 14 appears to outperform its older Pro sibling: the front camera. While both are 12-megapixel cameras, the iPhone 14 has a larger f/1.9 aperture and a proper autofocus system rather than the 13 Pro’s fixed focus.

Performance

Both handsets are powered by the same A15 Bionic chip, as mentioned in the camera section. The iPhone 14 represents a minor upgrade from the iPhone 13’s A15 with a 4-core GPU to the iPhone 13 Pro’s A15 with a 5-core GPU.

This is not to say that the two phones will perform identically. While both handsets may have 6GB of RAM, the iPhone 14 uses slower LPDDR4X memory than the iPhone 13 Pro’s LPDDR5 memory.

Another spec advantage for the iPhone 13 Pro is the option of 1TB of internal storage, whereas the iPhone 14 only has 512GB.

Overall, the two devices are likely to be very close in terms of performance.

Final Thoughts

The comparisons show no significant difference between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 Pro. Both are very similar.

The iPhone 13 Pro, on the other hand, needs a few new cameras features to which the iPhone 14 has access, despite having hardware comparable to or even better.

There won’t be any brand-new iPhone 13 Pro phones on sale after the release of the iPhone 14 Pro because Apple hardware is known for maintaining its price. However, there’s a good chance you’ll get a good deal, which could lessen the benefit of the iPhone 14’s lower price. Check our iPhone 13 Pro deals.

The iPhone 13 Pro would be the better purchase if you can find one. But if you want to use new camera features, iPhone 14 is a better choice.

What is the difference between an iPhone 14 Pro and an iPhone 13 Pro?

The recently unveiled iPhone 14 Pro will be perfect if you don’t feel like carrying a Max-sized phone in your pocket. However, how does it differ from the prior iPhone 13 Pro? And if you already own the 13 Pro, does it make sense to upgrade to the more recent model?

The iPhone 14 Pro has an unchanged design aside from two significant changes: first, the notch has been replaced by the new Dynamic Island cut-out, and second, a higher resolution camera promises a significant improvement in image quality.

Along with additional features like an Always-On Display option, you will receive the standard upgrades of a faster Apple A16 chip and faster memory.

iPhone 14 Pro vs. iPhone 13 Pro: Design and Display

The iPhone 14 Pro has recognizable design cues from the previous two generations, including a flat body, a stainless-steel body, and a matte glass back. Practically speaking, the 14 Pro and 13 Pro use the Lightning connector and have the same IP68 water and dust protection.

The front of the device has undergone the most noticeable change, where the pill-shaped Dynamic Island has replaced the familiar notch. Although it takes up a little less room than the notch, its real benefit is that it integrates seamlessly with the system and provides you with helpful information. It animates and bubbles in and out to let you know when to look at your phone for Face ID, when you turn on or off silent mode, or when the battery-saving low power mode is enabled. It’s like a status bar on steroids. Although it isn’t a game-changer, it is an excellent new addition.

The bright Sierra Blue model is replaced by the Deep Purple model, giving the iPhone 14 Pro one less color option and eliminating the green color scheme. Deep Purple, Gold, Silver, and Space Black are the available colors for the iPhone 14 Pro. The iPhone 13 Pro, in contrast, was available in Alpine Green, Silver, Gold, Graphite, and Sierra Blue.

However, the package’s contents have stayed the same. It still contains a Lightning to USB-C cable but no charger. What about the display? The 6.1-inch OLED screens on both phones have nearly the same resolution.

iPhone 14 Pro vs. iPhone 13 Pro: Performance and Software

The A16 Bionic chip, which represents Apple’s newest silicon, is included in the iPhone 14 Pro. This new processor offers a slight performance improvement over the Apple A15. Although it is constructed using a 4nm process (as opposed to a 5nm process for the older A15 chip), most benefits have gone toward improving its power efficiency.

Apple is using faster LPDDR5 memory, another improvement over the LPDDR4X used in the previous model, even though we still have 6GB of RAM.

The newest iOS 16 operating system is supported by the iPhone 14 Pro and 13 Pro. The 13 Pro received it as an update, while the 14 Pro launched with it, but overall, the two have primarily the same software. The iPhone 14 Pro introduces two fresh features that were absent from earlier models:

  • Satellite connectivity enables you to establish a connection to a satellite in remote areas devoid of cellular service. To lock the signal, you must have a clear sky view and point your iPhone at a satellite, but this function can save your life.
  • Crash Detection — The new iPhone can now detect if a person has been in a severe auto accident and will immediately call 911 thanks to an improved accelerometer. This feature has the potential to save lives once more.

These devices are entirely future-proof because Apple typically updates its phones for five or even six years.

iPhone 14 Pro vs. iPhone 13 Pro: Camera

The main camera’s higher resolution 48MP sensor is the biggest new feature of the iPhone 14 Pro camera. The bump for the camera on the back has grown even more in size as it takes the place of the current 12MP one.

Camera differences between the iPhone 14 Pro and 13 Pro:

  • 1X camera: 48MP on 14 Pro vs. 12MP on 13 Pro
  • 0.5X camera: 12MP on both
  • 3X camera: 12MP on both

The newer iPhone’s slightly wider field of view (24mm vs. 26mm) is another thing to note. Color reproduction is roughly the same, but if you look closely, you’ll see that the 14 Pro has quite a bit of excessive sharpening—something we haven’t seen before.

The 14 Pro has a slight advantage over the previous generation iPhone because of the wider main camera and the improved low-light processing, which help it capture more light in very dark conditions.

It’s worth noting that the main camera can’t focus as close as it used to with this new sensor.

Both iPhones capture portraits at 1X and 3X, with few differences in those modes, but the real difference here is the iPhone 14 Pro’s new 2X portrait mode. This is a very versatile focal length, ideal for portraits.

On the video front, Cinematic Mode, which debuted last year but only supported 1080p, is now available in 4K resolution with a choice of 24fps or 30fps.

iPhone 14 Pro vs. iPhone 13 Pro: Battery Life and Charging

The iPhone 13 Pro provided a noticeable improvement in battery life over previous models, owing primarily to the battery’s more extensive physical capacity.

Here’s how the iPhone 14 Pro’s battery compares to the 13 Pro’s:

  • Size of the iPhone 14 Pro battery: 3,200 mAh (+3% larger)
  • Size of the iPhone 13 Pro battery: 3,095mAh

According to Apple’s official battery estimates, the battery life on both models is the same: 20 hours of video streaming and 75 hours of audio playback.

There are no changes in charging speeds. The 14 Pro, like the previous model, officially supports 20W charging (but can top up at 23W speeds), which means a full top-up with a compatible charger takes about 2 hours.

And the iPhone 14 and 13 series both support MagSafe, the cool magnetic wireless charging technology that can charge at speeds up to 15W.

Conclusion

The iPhone 14 Pro has a slightly faster processor, a brighter screen, an interesting new Dynamic Island feature, an impressive ProRAW 48MP photo capture, and a surprisingly useful new 2X zoom mode.

Should you replace your 13 Pro? With no significant changes to battery life or speed, consider upgrading if you intend to make the most of the camera, particularly the 48MP ProRAW capture. Also, if you like having new features like a brighter screen, Dynamic Island, and Always-on Display. Unless you’re obsessed with camera quality, the new iPhone 14 Pro feels much like the iPhone 13 Pro.

Does the iPhone XR Support Wireless Charging?

One of the most anticipated smartphones of 2018 is the iPhone XR, one of Apple’s most recent models. Wireless charging, a feature that eliminates the need for cords or plugs to charge devices, is one of its key components.

If you’re constantly on the go, wireless charging is a great feature. On the other hand, the iPhone XR is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for an iPhone that supports wireless charging.

iPhone XR wireless charging speed

With the iPhone XR, you can charge your device wirelessly and never have to worry about plugging it in. On the iPhone XR, how quickly does wireless charging operate?

The iPhone XR was first put to the test using a typical Qi wireless charger that is capable of 5W charging. It was discovered that the iPhone XR could be charged using this charger from 0% to 50% in two hours. Not bad, but not as quickly as we had hoped.

The charging speed significantly increased when it was switched to a 7.5W wireless charger, which is much more powerful. The iPhone XR was able to charge using this charger from 0% to 50% in an hour. And the following day, after leaving it on the charger all night, it was fully charged.

Therefore, invest in an excellent 7.5W charger if you want the fastest wireless charging speed for your iPhone XR.

The Anker Wireless Charging Pad is the best option if you’re on a tight budget and want to spend less on a wireless charger. With the Anker Wireless Charging Pad, you can be sure your device will also be protected. Anker has built a few charging safeguards into this charging pad to protect you from overcharging, electrical surges, overheating, and other charging hazards.

How To Transfer Your Data To Your New iPhone 14?

You recently bought a new iPhone 14 and began experimenting with all the new features of iOS 16? You should carefully configure your phone and sync your data before doing that. The last thing you want to do is rush the setup process; take your time and make sure your new iPhone 14 is configured to your preferences.

Apple offers several options for transferring data from one iPhone to another, depending on your needs. You could set it up as brand-new, for instance, but you would have to start from scratch, and there would be no way to import settings, messages, photos, apps, or accounts. You can transfer everything to the iPhone 14 models even if you use an Android device.

We’ll review the four ways to restore your phone from a current iPhone backup.

  1. Restore a recent iCloud backup to your new iPhone.

Using a recent iCloud backup to restore your new iPhone is the simplest and fastest way to get it ready for use. Tap Restore from iCloud backup, sign in with your Apple ID, and then select the most recent backup of your old iPhone as you proceed through the initial setup process.

If the backup is older than a day or two, spend a little more time making a new backup. To do this, search for iCloud backup in the Settings app on your old phone (click the icon), then choose Back Up Now.

When that is finished, return to your new iPhone, and choose to restore from the backup you just made.

After restoring your settings and preferences, you can use your phone for about 15 minutes while it completes downloading all of your installed apps.

After everything is fixed, you must sign into any accounts you added to your phone and check that you are still logged in to all your apps.

  1. Use Apple’s direct transfer method

You’ll be asked if you want to directly transfer apps and data from your old iPhone to your new one during setup. If it has been a while since you upgraded your phone, this feature will be new to you because it was introduced with iOS 12.4.

The tool is simple to operate. Make sure you have both phones, preferably charged and plugged in to prevent battery drain, a Wi-Fi connection, and enough time for the process to complete—it may take more than an hour.

It will take longer if you have more data on your phone, such as photos in your camera roll. You will be given a time estimate by phone when the transfer begins. If you back up your phone using something other than Apple’s iCloud service, it’s time well spent.

  1. Use a Mac or PC to transfer your data to an iPhone

Some users use a Mac or PC with every new iPhone to restore from an encrypted backup. You don’t have to sign into the countless apps on your phone because this process transfers all your settings, preferences, and apps.

Before using this method, you must first make an encrypted backup of your current iPhone. You only need to check an additional box and enter a password, even though it might sound intimidating or overly complicated.

To back up your old iPhone on a Mac:

  • Use Finder.
  • Check the Encrypt backup box and, if prompted, type a password you can remember.
  • Allow your Mac to create a backup file as it works. You’ll be informed when it’s finished.

To make a backup on a PC, you’ll need to use iTunes (it’s still functional). Once more, you must enter a password and ensure that the Encrypt backup box is checked.

Open Finder or iTunes and connect your new phone to your computer to restore it. When prompted, select Trust and follow the on-screen instructions, choosing to restore the phone using the backup you just made. Before the process starts, the backup’s password must be entered, so be sure not to lose it.

When it’s finished, your new phone will be a replica of your old phone, saving you time from signing into random apps or accounts.

  1. Solution for Android users

A few Android apps from Apple are available in the Google Play Store, but one is called Move to iOS. The most crucial data can be transferred from one phone to the other using this free app, which will link your Android device to a brand-new iPhone.

First, you should charge both phones. Connect your Android phone to Wi-Fi after you’ve charged the batteries. Make sure your Chrome is up to date before beginning the transfer process if you want to transfer your bookmarks from Chrome to your phone.

After that, start your new iPhone and proceed as instructed until you reach the Apps & Data screen. Select Move Data from Android. Install the Move To iOS app on your Android phone from the Google Play Store, then launch it. Click Continue on the Move from Android screen once you’re back on your iPhone. An iPhone’s display will show a 6- or 10-digit code.

Return to your Android phone and read the Terms and Conditions by tapping Continue on the Move to iOS screen. Select Agree. Tap the Next button in the top-right corner of the Find Your Code screen. Then, enter the 6- or 10-digit code from your iPhone when prompted.

Next, select the content you want to move to your iPhone from your Android device’s Transfer Data screen and tap Next. This process can take some time, so start before you go to bed or another time when you won’t use your phones for a while.

Final Thoughts

This article listed four methods you can use to move your data from your old iPhone or Android phone to your new iPhone 14 model. The first three tips are for iPhone users who want to transfer data from one iPhone to another. The last method, which advises the Move To iOS app, is recommended for transferring data from Android to iPhone fast and easily.
